Heath Information Clerk 

Grand Junction, CO

We are seeking a Health Information Clerk to join our growing team. As a Health Information Clerk you will collect, maintain, and make available to authorized users accurate and complete patient health information in a timely manner.

Compensation: $17.00/hr. - $21.00/hr. 

Schedule: Full time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm on site position.

• Requests health related documentation and accurately uploads into the database 
• Enter data into databases and maintain accurate records
• Add new material to file records and create new records as necessary
• Organize and maintain files and documents
• Answer questions about files and retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorized users
• Gather and prepare patient charts/documents
• Ensure that the medical records are organized, accurate and complete
• Safeguard patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
  
  

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent writing, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize and function in a team environment.
• Must possess a professional, courteous, and customer-oriented demeanor. Must be discrete, trustworthy, and possess high level of integrity.
